Help save the rumor mongers—the scorpion tongues. They perennially commit the sin of destroying the cherished notions of other people. They do not settle on mere defamatory imputations or rely on hearsay. They actually take out a few lines from your own dissertation and pervert it, thus creating a half-truth for those viewing it eagle-eyed from a conspicuous but ridiculously absurd (emphasis on ABSURD!) perspective. The rumor-mongers’ principal is to play on the suspicions of other people and subsequently force the victim to prove his innocence. The target can be tainted even with those who convince themselves they do not believe in the allegations.
Rumor-mongering is a time-tested recipe for destroying a person. Those who are pathetically involved in it don’t keep to the shadows. They have devices, they know their moves. They are scheming, boorish people.
One of the unhappy things about rumors is that once they’re let loose, the perpetrator does not have to publicly and forever hold liability over the upshots. That’s the whole essence of INNUENDO—you never have to say you’re sorry.
Today’s anti-success crusaders have a jerky way of viewing life. They are supposedly disinterested in the day-to-day’s of other people yet they so commit to plucking out the evil in those that are so utterly uninvolved in their stuck-up selves.
It’s always been a bad bargain: toffee-noses are by nature hostile to the progressive environment. They recognize only one best way—to manipulate people in distorted means—all in the name love (love for thy bitchy self).
But the good news is, if you are smart enough, if you have upmarket taste, and if you don’t delight in spoiling the good in people, you would know that the stories are malicious and paranoid. And you would be able to smell the rumor-monger’s aura of predisposed convictions.
